Michele Zukas earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Management, with a minor in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University of Florida in 2011. For the last 32 years, she worked as a Database Administrator at the Department of Job and Family Services of Summit County. At JFS, she developed, updated, and maintained approximately 17 databases at any one time. Additionally, Michele worked with the State of Ohio, controlling network access for the various program applications used in tracking and reporting. In November of 2022, she "retired" before joining the Project Learn team in the summer of 2023.
In her spare time, Michele has been a leader and Director for the Mogadore/Springfield Service Unit for Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, resigning in 2020, after over 10 years of volunteering. Exploring new challenges with inquisitive young women and making lasting relationships was a rewarding experience for her. She also enjoys baking, camping, crafting, reading and carpentry.
Michele says that Project Learn offers her an opportunity to continue supporting her community in meaningful ways.
