Deb has an eclectic work history. The lion’s share of her earlier work life was spent with the Dairy Farmers of American as a Producer Payroll Manager and with the Board of Education, as a substitute teacher recruiter for Akron Public Schools. In addition to these jobs, she has been a secretary to a patent attorney, an assistant to a podiatrist, a festival director for the International Jugglers Association, and a seamstress making flight suits for the US Navy.
She was hired by Project Learn in 2015 as the Volunteer Coordinator, a GED proctor, and front desk receptionist. In her current role as Data Manger, she is responsible for maintaining student records, such as registration, attendance and testing data.
Deb has been married to Tom for 40 years. They have 2 adult sons, Jeff and Tommy, and have an adorable granddaughter named Blaire, (5 mos.) who will soon be able to get Grandma to sew her any dress she could ever possibly want.
Tom and Deb recently downsized their empty nest in W. Akron and moved to a cute ranch in Barberton, which they are currently renovating.
